84,000 Gallons of Raw Sewage Leaks Into Stamford Harbor
The leak happened due to a pipe break.

STAMFORD, CT — A pipe break at the Stamford Water Pollution Control Facility leaked some 84,000 gallons of raw sewage into the Stamford Harbor.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Stamford Harbor Management Commission member Ray Redniss called it a relatively small spill and said it thankfully didn't happen in the middle of the season when people frequent the harbor.

In 2014 the facility disinfection system was overwhelmed by heavy rainfall and about 25 million gallons of partially treated sewage leaked into the harbor.
