New Charges for Stamford Murder Suspect
The man accused of murdering his mother faces new charges including probation violation, failure to take his medication.

The Stamford man accused in the beating death of his mother is facing new charges of violating his probation — and failure to take his medications.
The new charges were lodged against Timothy Anderson, 42, on Wednesday after the Stamford Adult Probation Office received approval for two arrest warrants, according to a report in The Advocate. Anderson is accused of lying to his probation officer by telling her he was receiving mental health treatment and was taking medication under a doctor’s supervision, according to the report.
Anderson is facing a murder charge for the March 23 beating his mother after she confronted him for not taking his medications. Mary Ann Anderson was beaten in the Sleepy Hollow Road home she shared with her son. Despite her injuries, the victim was able to tell officers that her 42-year-old son, assaulted her and fled from the house and through the woods located at the end of the street, before officers arrived.

The 76-year-old woman died three days later even after doctors at Stamford Hospital removed part of her skull to relieve brain swelling and placed her on a ventilator.
The Chief State Medical Examiner ruled Mary Ann Anderson’s death was a homicide after it “showed her death was attributable to the beating she took,” Stamford Police have said.
