Stamford's Mother's Day Weekend Forecast

This forecast has it all, fog, plenty of sun, chance of a drizzle and 80 degrees.

First, Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there.

The latest National Weather Service forecast is all over the place, but by and large the forecast will be a good one for Sunday.

Before we get to the weekend, Friday’s forecast looks great with bright sunshine and temps in the 73-77 range for the southern part of Connecticut including Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties.

Up north in Hartford and Tolland counties the forecast for Friday calls for temps in the low to mid 80s.

On Saturday, it will be foggy early and then mostly sunny and a high near 70 for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.

For Hartford and Tolland counties on Saturday, it’s just mid-70s and sunshine.

On Mother’s Day we’ll deal with some drizzle and fog early, and cloudy skies that will give way to sun later in the day for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties.

Again, up north in Hartford and Tolland counties, it will be a picture perfect almost summer like day with bright sunshine and highs around 80 degrees.

Here’s the National Weather Service’s latest hyperlocal forecast for Stamford:

  • Today: Sunny, with a high near 73. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
  • Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Friday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9mph in the afternoon.
  • Friday night: Areas of fog after 2am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 57. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Saturday: Areas of fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
  • Saturday night: Areas of drizzle after 10pm. Areas of fog after 9pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 60.
  • Sunday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 80.
  • Sunday night: Areas of drizzle. Areas of fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.
  • Monday: Areas of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 77.
