New York Comedy Club announced last June that it was coming to Stamford. There are two other locations in midtown Manhattan and the East Village.
The Stamford outpost will include a full-service bar area with plenty of seating and a separate room that comfortably accommodates 150 guests.
At the time of their announcement last year, club owners Emilio Savone and Scott Lindner called the opening in Stamford a "no brainer."
Stamford Town Center General Manager Dan Stolzenbach said the club will be a welcome addition to the mall and the downtown scene.
"This will be a major draw for local customers and an evening destination for the entire region. We anticipate customers making a night of it, coming to have a nice dinner, and then going to watch a great show," Stolzenbach said in a news release last summer. "There are only a couple venues in the entire state that provide this type of excellent dining and world-class entertainment in such close proximity to one another. Customers can valet park, dine at their preferred restaurant, and then head right to a show to top off their evening."
