Stamford Coronavirus Updates: City Has 2,167 Confirmed Cases

The city has also provided information for residents looking to attended a joint public hearing concerning proposed city budgets this week.

STAMFORD, CT — City officials announced Wednesday evening there have been 2,167 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Stamford as of April 22, according to state Department of Public Health. That number is up from the 2,067 confirmed cases of the virus, also referred to as COVID-19, reported by the state a day prior, city officials said.

In the city's daily "COVID-19 situation newsletter," officials also noted the state's interactive dashboard that tracks cases and deaths across the entire state indicates Stamford has had "99 reported deaths attributed to COVID-19 cases" as of Wednesday, April 22.

City officials also announced State Representative Matt Blumenthal and Chair of Infectious Diseases at Stamford Health Dr. Michael Parry will host "a live COVID-19 update" Thursday at 6 p.m. on Facebook.

Also on Thursday, the city's Board of Finance and the Board of Representative's fiscal committee will hold a joint public hearing via webinar on, offering residents an opportunity to present verbal or written comments concerning the proposed city budgets.
