Stamford Public Schools Is Conducting Community Survey
The survey on 'school climate' is for parents, staff and students.

From Stamford Public Schools.
As part of the Stamford Public Schools (SPS) ongoing effort to improve school climate for learning, the district has hired the National School Climate Center (NSCC), an independent agency that specializes in measuring and improving school climate to administer a Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI) survey.
The CSCI survey is designed to assess perceptions of the school environment, including feelings about safety, relationships, learning, and communication within the school. NSCC works with hundreds of schools annually and uses proven, research-based practices and measurement tools to administer the CSCI survey.

In order to get an accurate reflection of all of our schools’ climates, we are asking families to fill out a CSCI survey for each school in which they have a child. The CSCI survey became available Feb. 6 and will be available until Feb. 27, in both English and Spanish. Each family will receive details about how to access their schools’ survey directly from their school.
Additionally administrators, teachers, staff members, and students will also be asked to complete a CSCI survey. The survey will only take about 20 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous.

Once NSCC compile and analyzes the results, the findings will be provided to the district and to the schools to help guide creating a more positive learning environment.
If you have any questions about how to access the survey, please contact your child’s school.
