Third Suspect Arrested in Stabbing Death of Stamford Man
Two teens and a man are now in custody in connection with Stamford's first murder of 2015.
Stamford Police arrested a third suspect on Wednesday — a 15-year-old Stamford boy — in connection with the stabbing death of a Stamford man outside the McDonald’s restaurant a week ago.
And in a related development in the case, officials announced that the case against the 15-year-old Stamford boy arrested earlier this week was transferred from the Juvenile Matters Division in state Superior Court in Stamford to been upgraded to the Part A division which deals with the most serious offenses.
Stamford Police said, “At this point the juvenile is being identified as Marquest Hall, of 21 Sherman St., Stamford. A $2,000,000 bond was issued by the judge and he will next be seen on March 31, 2015 at Stamford Superior Court.” Lt. Diedrich Hohn said that prosecutors will not allow the release of a mug shot of Hall and “We are not releasing any video since the video is going to be used in a criminal prosecution.” Police used the video and information from the community to identify the suspects.

Hall’s arrest follows that of James McLamb, 22, of Harding Place, New Haven. Both were charged with murder for the death of Antonio Muralles, 52, died from a stab wound to the heart. Police have said Muralles, an immigrant from Guatemala who worked for Green Mountain Coffee in Norwalk, was attacked even though he apologized after accidentally spilling coffee onto Hall when he walked out of McDonald’s at the corner of Bedford and Broad streets.

Conklin said that Muralles’ wallet was missing.
According to police, on Wednesday “Investigators secured an arrest warrant for a 17-year-old Stamford resident who was associated with the above two individuals arrested. After reviewing video, the juvenile could be seen leaving the scene with possible evidence from the crime scene. Investigators secured a warrant for Hindering Prosecution 2nd (degree) and he was taken into custody on Sherman Street today. He was remanded to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center and will be arraigned on March 19.”
