Always Home Beneficiary of Stop & Shop Community Bag Program

Always Home has been selected by Stop & Shop as this month’s beneficiary of their Community Bag Program. The local nonprofit will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 reusable Give Back bag purchased at the store located at 91 Voluntown Road in Pawcatuck, CT during the month of December.

“The pandemic has increased housing insecurity in our region,” said Tricia Cunningham, Always Home’s Executive Director. “We’re seeing more and more working families who are experiencing a housing crisis for the very first time.”

The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program is a way for shoppers to give back as part of the regular shopping routine and brings awareness to the challenges low-income residents face.

“Always Home is working hard to ensure that no family endures the trauma and hardship of homelessness,” said Cunningham. “We are grateful for the support of Stop & Shop and the community in helping us meet the needs of our community’s most vulnerable residents.
