Daily Five: Mystic Starbucks Closed Until Feb. 22

1. If you're in search of a morning cup of coffee you won't find it at in Mystic. The popular coffee spot is closed until Feb. 22 for remodeling. If you are searching for a new place to get your coffee take a look through our places directory and read or add reviews of some of the other coffee spots in town such as The Yellow House Coffee & Tea Room, Wide World of Bagels or the Green Marble Coffee House. And Starbucks would like me to remind you that the Groton Starbucks at 985 Poquonnock Rd., is only about seven miles away.

2. Stonington Public Schools is accepting . If you’re interested in nominating an educator you must fill out the nomination form and turn it in to the school office by Thursday, March 30. Do you have a nominee in mind?

3. The February meeting of takes place today at 6 p.m., at the Dime Bank in Norwich. Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting. 

4. Galileo Galilei arrived in Rome to face the Inquisition on Feb. 13, 1633. Pope Urban VIII charged Galileo with hearsay for the Copernican theory stating the Earth revolves around the sun.
