Five Escape Injury After Boat Strikes Rocks Near Stonington

Five people were able to escape injury after their boat hit some rocks.

STONINGTON, CT – Five occupants were able to escape injury when their boat hit some rocks off Osbrook Point in Pawcatuck, the Westerly Sun reported.

The 34-foot cruiser took on water Saturday after hitting rocks in the area of Seal Rocks in Little Narragansett Bay, according to the Westerly Sun. The operator was able to intentionally beach the boat near Osbrook Point to prevent it from sinking.

The five were later evaluated and found uninjured from the incident, according to the Westerly Sun. Similar accidents in the area were reported on July 2 and Aug. 5.
