Free Marine Animal Rescue Training Taking Place This Month

The Mystic Aquarium is offering free first responder training for those aged 18 and older.

Watching a seal released into the wild or seeing a sea turtle swim again after an injury are amazing sights to behold.

If you would like to aid sea creatures, the Mystic Aquarium is offering first responder training this month. The class will include a basic Mystic Aquarium orientation and initial training to join the Animal Rescue Team.

First responders are typically the first set of eyes and ears in the field assessing reports of marine mammals and sea turtles for Connecticut, Rhode Island and Fishers Island, N.Y., the Mystic Aquarium stated.
