Three local financial specialists will present a program entitled “Making the Best Use of Your Money and Your Assets” on Monday, June 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Mystic & Noank Library.Bernadine Shea, M.Ed. and owner of The Money Organizer, will discuss the meaning and importance of credit and credit scores. Shea, a Certified Personal Finance Educator, holds a paralegal litigation certificate, and regularly attends conferences and educational programs to stay current in her field. She is a member of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE) and works with various organizations helping clients to understand how to better manage their personal finances.Lorraine Sanborn will speak on irrevocable funeral trusts, and ways to pay for funerals. Sanborn is founder of Sanborn consultants, and is a life insurance expert and independent agent. She is founder and president of freshconnections, inc, a non-profit business networking organization for women with chapters in southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island.Ron Pueschel is a Reverse Mortgage Professional with Security 1 Lending, one of the nation's largest reverse mortgage lenders. Pueschel, a 30-year senior executive, will present a fact-based review of the benefits of today's government insured reverse mortgages including some of the program's newest options. Pueschel is a board member and advisor for a number of non-profit organizations in Connecticut.There will be a question and answer period and coffee and dessert will be provided.
