Man Charged in North Stonington Convenience Store Robbery
The suspect is already being held at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT - A Norwich man was charged with a convenience store robbery by state police, The Day reported.
Eric Begin, 41, was charged Monday in the Sept. 2 robbery at the Xtra-Mart in North Stonington, according to The Day. The suspect is already being held at the Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Center in connection with the Sept. 5 robbery of a Shell gas station in Norwich.
An Xtra-Mart employee told police the suspect entered the store with a handgun wearing a mask, and took all the money in a cash register, The Day reported. Begin later told police the gun was fake and needed the money because of financial problems and a drug addiction.
