Man Dies After Being Pulled from North Stonington Lake: Police

A man died shortly after being pulled from Billings Lake.

NORTH STONINGTON, CT – An Uncasville man died after he was pulled from Billings Lake on Monday, Fox 61 reported.

Scott Hurne, 30, was pulled from the water near 100 Billings Lake Road and taken to the hospital close to 8 p.m., Fox 61 reported. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The incident is being investigated by the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, according to Fox 61. The department said the lake is not a designated swim area.
