Multicellular Organism With a Body Full of Pores To Visit Mystic

Guess who’s coming to town? Here are some hints. He lives in a pineapple under the sea. Another clue: Absorbent and yellow and porous is he. Not yet? His nautical nonsense be something you wish.  Yeah, now you’ve got it!  Now, drop on the deck and flop like a fish, because SpongeBob will be at the Mystic Aquarium this weekend for the premiere of SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D: The Great Jelly Rescue!  

The coolest thing about SpongeBob is that you DO NOT have to be a kid to love him!  

On Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 aquarium guests can meet and take their photo with the über -popular Nickelodeon character both days from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.  

SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D: The Great Jelly Rescue premieres at Mystic Aquarium's 4-D Theater on Saturday, May 18 and will show daily through the summer.

Guests will join SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy on a wildly hilarious 4-D adventure to rescue the jellyfish of Jellyfish Fields from Plankton’s evil clutches. With eye-catching 4-D effects, guests will surf through the electrifying swarm of jellies, get dragged into the bowels of the Flying Dutchman’s ghost ship, and even feel the rumble of the cannon as our heroes are launched on their hysterical odyssey. Hold on for the experience’s explosive finale, and leave the theater knowing exactly why SpongeBob is oceans above the rest!  

Admission to Mystic Aquarium’s 4-D Theater is included with membership and value admission, or tickets can be purchased inside the aquarium for $6 each.

Mystic Aquarium is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Once inside, guests may stay until 6 p.m.
