Mystic Man Forms Group to Educate Citizens on Importance of Flood Insurance
The group will focus on research and education, which mostly will be done via social media.

MYSTIC, CT - A Mystic man has formed a group to help people with flood insurance questions, The Day.
Organizer Thomas Norris hopes the group will help minimize the physical and financial risk of flooding for residents, The Day reported. He also hopes to use the group to help educate residents about the issue of flood insurance coverage.
The issue is one that’s close to Norris’ heart, as his Sylvia Avenue home sits just feet away from the Mystic River, according to The Day. So far 11 people have contacted him about helping with the research and education effort, which mostly will be done via Facebook.
