Old Mystic Firefighters Aid in 10 Acre Brush Fire Battle
The blaze was fought by 14 area departments.

LEDYARD, CT - Firefighters from 14 nearby departments fought a 10-acre brush fire Monday for six hours, The Day reported.
The fire, located far into the woods south of Whippoorwill Drive, was reported close to 1 p.m., according to The Day. The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
Ledyard Fire Company and Gaels Ferry Company responded to the blaze, according to The Day. They were aided by 14 nearby departments, including Old Mystic, Groton, Montville, Preston and North Stonington.
