Relax at the Stonington Shoreline

Warm weather is nearly upon us, but there’s still time to purchase your duBois beach and Sandy Point passes!

Located at the tip of beautiful Stonington Village, duBois Beach is great family fun, featuring gentle surf, jetty’s for crabbing, and soft sand.  duBois beach will open for the weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend and lifeguards will be on duty from 9 am to 6 pm. The beach will open full-time beginning June 17th, and continue through Labor Day weekend.

Sandy Point is a great way to enjoy sailing, boating and swimming during the summer months.  This nature preserve is accessible only by boat, making it one of the area’s most sought after locations to relax and enjoy the sun and water undisturbed.  The island is managed by the Stonington Community Center beginning Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day Weekend for the Avalonia Land Conservancy, Inc.

Visitors to Sandy Point and duBois Beach are required to display season passes.  Individual Adult passes or Family memberships (defined as 2 adults and minor children in household) are available for purchase at the Stonington Community Center, located at 28 Cutler Street, Stonington CT.  Both current COMO and Avalonia members are eligible for a discounted rate.  Daily fees will be assessed at Sandy Point if passes are not provided. Don’t miss out on this great shoreline fun!  Buy your passes today!   For more information, please feel free to call the COMO at 860.535.2476 or visit us at www.thecomo.org.
