Stonington Borough Hotspot Sees Influx of Pokemon Go Players

While players travel to fill their Pokemon quota, residents have grown a bit frustrated and concerned.

STONINGTON, CT- Cannon Square and Stonington Borough have become one of the prime places for Pokemon Go players in the region, The Day reported.

Visitors to both location over the past month since the game’s release have been standing outside villagers’ historic homes and on their fence posts in order to catch Pokemon, The Day reported. Drivers have also been cruising slowly along the streets in order to play the game.

Other hotspots in the region experiencing similar situations include the drawbridge in Mystic, Fort Shantok in Montville, Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, and Parade Plaza in New London, The Day reported. Some players who have traveled to the location for the game claimed it enables them to learn history and see the location’s sites as they play.
