Stonington to Comprehensively Update Town Zoning Code

STONINGTON, CT – Officials have begun the process of completing a comprehensive update of the town’s zoning code, the Westerly Sun reported.

The update is part of an effort to improve the clarity and consistency of regulations, as reported by the Westerly Sun. The task is being completed by the Department of Planning and the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The last major update to the rules was in 1961, the Westerly Sun. There have been a number of amendments in the last 25 years, but many lacked consistent terminology and proper detail.
