Stonington Dog Park Plan Meets Opposition at Meeting, Delayed Again
A decision was expected to be made at the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting, but was delayed.

STONINGTON, CT – A decision to make an off-leash dog park out of a fenced area of the waterfront sewer treatment plant was delayed once more, according to the Westerly Sun.
The plan was met with opposition at Tuesday’s Planning & Zoning Commission meeting, the Westerly Sun reported. Residents were concerned both about the fence proposal and the legality of the dog park.
Issues cited included the lack of other dog parks so close to residential areas and the possibility of putting an extra dock on the waterfront property, the Westerly Sun reported. The deliberation was continued to next week’s Tuesday meeting.
