Stonington Hopes to Collaborate with Westerly Officials on Stillman Avenue Bridge Repairs
The bridge has been assessed by the DOT as being in serious need of repair.

STONINGTON, CT – Officials in Stonington and Westerly are looking into collaborating on repairs to an important bridge, the Westerly Sun reported.
The bridge in question is the Stillman Avenue bridge, which carries traffic over the Pawcatuck River, according to the Westerly Sun. The bridge has been assessed as being in serious need of repair by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
The Board of Selectmen met with the Westerly Town Council on Monday to discuss tactics for repairing the bridge, the Westerly Sun reported. It is hoped that early collaboration could avoid any delays in the process that might result in needing to temporarily close down the bridge.
