Stonington Police Led on Low Speed Pursuit, Make DUI Arrest: Report

Police said an alleged intoxicated driver would not pull over for pursuing officers.

STONINGTON, CT – Police said officers were led on a slow pursuit by an alleged drunk driver Sunday afternoon, The Day reported.

Dean Pica, 51, was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to stop for police, according to The Day. Police said he drove at various speeds between 15 and 35 mph, and did not stop for police until reaching his Pawcatuck home.

Pica was reportedly unable to stay in his lane at times as he was pursued by police, The Day reported. He was cooperative upon reaching his home and was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.
