Stonington to Strengthen Blight Ordinance Following Numerous Complaints
Complaints about blighted properties have increased from 10 in 2014 to 22 in 2016.

STONINGTON, CT – In response to a number of complaints it has received about blighted properties, the town will seek to strengthen its blight ordinance, The Day reported.
Complaints about blighted properties have increased from 10 in 2014 to 22 this year, according to The Day. Director of Planning Jason Vincent has been appointed as the town’s blight enforcement officer.
Vincent will also make recommendations about updating the ordinance, The Day reported. He will present them to the board on Sept. 14.
