Stonington Woman Guilty Of Having Sex With Waterford School Boy
Nicole Souza, 38, of Stonington pleaded guilty to having sex with boy while an employee of the Waterford Country School. She got six months.
WATERFORD, CT—A 38-year-old Stonington woman pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy while employed by the Waterford Country School, whose motto is "Every day we do 'whatever it takes' to help children and families in need ..."
Nicole Souza was sentenced Tuesday in New London Superior Court to serve six to nine months in prison, followed by five years' probation for risk of injury to a minor.
Souza supervised the boy who was a resident of the human services' agency school for children with behavioral and emotional health needs. She worked there for 13 years, The Day reported until nine months ago.

According to court records, Souza was charged by Connecticut State Police on Oct. 10, 2018 in connection with June 2018 incidents where she had illegal sexual contact with the boyon two days; June 1 and June 14. She was charged with four felony counts; three of illegal sexual contact and one charge of second degree sexual assault. She was also charged with providing alcohol to a minor.

According to a report on the probable cause affidavit, the boy was taken to the hospital with a high blood alcohol level after spending time with Souza; swimming in a Griswold pond, drinking Fireball whiskey and having sex. The woman who called authorities said Souza apologized that she had taken "things too far."
According to The Day report, police said Souza "befriended the boy when he was in her program at the school because they had a lot in common, such as music, movies and past relationships."
When the boy left the residential program, Souza have him her number. The boy told police he had sex with her at her then Elm Street home in Stonington.
"He said Souza told him it would be better if he did not mention that they had sex, to protect her job and her two children," it was reported.
