Woman Nearly Hits Officer in Pawcatuck, Charged with DUI
A woman was charged with driving under the influence after hitting a curb and nearly colliding with a police cruiser.
STONINGTON, CT - A woman is facing DUI charges after nearly colliding with an officer downtown on Sunday, according to the Westerly Sun.
Patricia H. Diaz, 55, of South Attleboro, Mass., was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right, according to the Westerly Sun. She was taken into custody just after 1:30 a.m.
Police said Diaz struck a curb, the began to drive head on into a police cruiser while trying to correct her steering, the Westerly Sun. The suspect was stopped immediately and given a field sobriety test before being taken into custody.
