Driver Arrested In Stratford Pedestrian Death: Stamford Police
Stamford Police said a 24-year-old woman was arrested following an investigation into the death of a pedestrian from Stratford last year.

STAMFORD, CT — A 24-year-old Stamford woman has been charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle following an investigation into the death of a pedestrian last year, according to police. On Nov. 13, Nancy Flores, 60, of Stratford, was struck by a vehicle around 9 p.m. in the area of Tresser and Washington boulevards, police said.
According to Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, the driver was identified as Courtney Sabia, 24, of Stamford. Sabia turned herself in through her attorney at Stamford Police headquarters on Friday after learning there was a warrant for her arrest, Booth said in a statement.
Sabia was released after posting a $10,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment in March.

At the time of the incident, police said Flores was hit by a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta at the intersection of Tresser and Washington. According to Booth, Flores was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
