More Charges In Stratford Car Break-Ins: Police

For the second time this week, a trio of young people were charged in connection with car break-ins in Stratford, police said.

STRATFORD, CT — For the second time this week, a trio of young people were charged in connection with car break-ins in Stratford, according to police.

Nathaniel Allen, 20, of Stratford, and two juveniles were charged Friday after they tried to break in to cars and stole two bicycles from the Johnson Avenue area of town, police said in a news release. Two of the three fled on the bikes, but they were apprehended by officers a short distance away, according to police.

Friday’s arrests come after a similar incident Thursday, when Heriberto Soto-White, 18, and two juveniles were charged after an investigation into several recent car break-ins.

On Friday, Allen was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, third-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny, police said. Allen was held on a $5,000 bond and is set to appear in court Aug. 28. The juveniles were charged with third-degree criminal trespass and sixth-degree larceny, and released to a parent or guardian.

The trio charged Friday have all had previous interactions with Stratford police and Allen was wearing an ankle monitor related to a previous car theft incident in town, according to police.
