Stratford Mayor, Town Council Continue Fight over Future of Former Center School
The closed school was decommissioned in 2005, and last month the Board of Education turned it over to the town.

STRATFORD, CT — The fight between Stratford Mayor John Harkins and the Town Council over the future of the former Center School continues
Harkins wants the building, which was decommissioned in 2005, torn down and turned into a mixed-use development. But council members continue to push for the site to be a school again in the future.
The council on Monday again tabled a decision on the school's future, prompting Harkins to blast the council for wasting taxpayer money by holding onto the building, reports the Connecticut Post.
