Basketball, Hockey Update for Suffield High School
A look at the postseason possibilities for Wildcats basketball and ice hockey.

As regular season play on the ice and hardcourt enters its final weeks, three Suffield High School basketball and ice hockey teams have already qualified for state tournament competition.
After last year’s Division II state championship, the Suffield-Granby-Windsor Locks ice hockey co-op was shifted to Division I this season. Thus far, the Wildcats have responded, posting a 9-3 record which ranks them ninth in the state. The team is currently riding a three-game winning streak. Next: at Simsbury, Saturday, 7:10 p.m.
Boys basketball is 9-3, currently good for 11th in Class M. The Wildcats have struggled of late, dropping three of their past four. Next: at Bolton, Friday, 7 p.m.

Girls basketball is 9-6, which ranks them 20th in Class M. The girls snapped a two-game skid Tuesday night by defeating Coventry, 40-29. Next: home vs. Bolton, Friday, 7 p.m.
