"At the Edge of the Earth Exploring the Galapagos Islands"

Chris Fisher will present “At the Edge of the Earth - Exploring the Galapagos Islands” at the next meeting of the Suffield Photo Club  in the Suffield Library.
The program will combine still images and movies for a unique look at the geology and biology of these remote islands and consider what it is about them which helped Darwin reach his extraordinary conclusions about natural selection as the driving force behind evolution. Don't miss this opportunity to see closeups of Blue-footed Boobies, Lava Lizards, Giant Land Iguanas, Galapagos Sea Lions, White-tipped Sharks and many more of the interesting creatures both on these fascinating islands and in the sea around them.
Although the event will be educational, it will have mass appeal and be entertaining.  “People who just like to look at pretty pictures will like it,” said Fisher. “And people who want to learn science and interesting things will like it as well.”
The Suffield Photo Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at the Suffield Library.  Everyone is invited to this and all meetings of the Club.
