Suffield Lax Players Win Gold Medal in Nutmeg State Games

The Suffield teens play for the Warriors of Windsor team.

For the second year in a row, Suffield teens Alexa Emma and Nur Hameidah, won the Gold Medal at the Nutmeg State Games in Womens Lacrosse.

The duo play for the Warriors, a Windsor-based team comprised of players from several neighboring towns.

The team was undefeated throughout the tournament, scoring an average of 16 goals per game while only allowing 5. On Sunday, July 27, the Warriors beat Granby for the Gold Medal by a score of 15-14.

Both players are former Suffield High Varsity team members. Nur will be entering her sophomore year at UConn, and Alexa will be a freshman at Merrimack College, where she will be playing lacrosse.
