Travel Baseball Team Scheduling Tryouts

The Enfield Reds, which includes players from surrounding towns, play in tournaments throughout New England, and eventually in Cooperstown.

Tryouts for the Enfield Reds 2017 travel baseball team for players who were 10 and under as of April 30, 2015, are now being scheduled with the club’s president, Tom LaPointe. Because of the recent surge in travel baseball programs in Enfield, players from Enfield and surrounding towns are eligible.

The Reds program was created to improve the middle school, high school and American Legion baseball teams in town. The Reds’ success and the team’s impact on the creation of other travel programs in Enfield are exactly what the Reds had hoped for. With multiple teams playing baseball at a higher level than Little League, it will translate to better upper-level programs in town for years to come.

The Reds will play in the John L. Sullivan League based in Springfield during the spring and fall, and at tournaments throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts, culminating in the Cooperstown Dreams Park Tournament in August 2017. This will be the Enfield Reds 10th anniversary team at the Cooperstown tournament. The Reds have reached the round of 32 in the 100-plus-team tournament in each of the last three years, and had a best finish of fourth place in 2014.
