East Lyme Police Inform Residents Using Nextdoor
Residents can get information about their area fast though a special social media tool.
EAST LYME, CT- Police are now using a tool called Nextdoor to inform residents about crime, events and safety tips for their area, The Day reported.
Nextdoor is a private neighborhood-based social networking website and app that can share information for residents townwide or to specific neighborhoods, according to The Day. Residents are also able to reply and send special messages to police.
The East Lyme Police Department is only the second department in the state to partner with the site after Norwalk, as reported by The Day. Residents looking to sign up for East Lyme’s Nextdoor network can do so by confirming they live in the town.
