Former Niantic Resident Pleads No Contest Prior to Road Rage Trial

A driver accused of intentionally ramming a motorcyclist in East Lyme will has agreed to pay restitutions.

NEW LONDON, CT- A former Niantic resident has agreed to pay $75,000 in restitutions on the eve of his trial, as reported by The Day.

Christopher Hollaway stands accused of intentionally striking a motorcyclist with his SUV in June 2014, according to The Day. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, but will now receive a fully suspended prison sentence and three years probation if he brings a payment of $25,000 to his March 23 sentencing.

Hollaway is a longtime member of the Niantic Fire Department and an employee of the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, who had intentionally bumped into a Farmington motorcyclist in East Lyme, according to The Day. He will be required to undergo any mental health treatment necessary while on probation.
