Two Lyme Nighttime Crashes Within Minutes Result in Minor Injury

Two separate crashes occurred in Lyme over the course of one night, resulting in minor injury.

LYME, CT --- Two separate crashes occurred within minutes of each other Wednesday night on the same street, resulting in one minor injury, The Day reported.

The first crash occurred close to 10:45 p.m. when Hildegard Rennhard, 86, lost control of his car and hit a guardrail driving on Blood Street, according to The Day. The impact flipped his car, resulting in suspected minor injuries.

The second crash occurred when Matthew Greenbaum, 31, crashed into a utility pole and a mailbox on Blood Street close to 10:50 p.m., according to The Day. Neither Greenbaum or the car’s passenger were injured.
