Tolland Fire Department Calls Up Slightly For November 2022

TOLLAND, CT — The Tolland Fire Department responded to four more calls in November of 2022 that it did during the same month a year ago.

The statistics were recently made available.

The Department has had 2,230 calls to date. That's 66 more than at the same point in 2021.

Here's a breakdown for November 2022:

• Fire: 28
• Medical: 172
• Haz-Mat: 12
• Motor Vehicle Crashes (local roads): 9
• Service Calls: 14
• Interstate 84: 8

The Tolland Fire Department also responded to 42 mutual aid calls in November, bringing the total for the year to 472.

Fire calls in November included flames shooting out of a window at a home along the 400 block of Buff Cap Road, a lawnmower blowing up at a private home, and a car engulfed in flames on I-84.

Fire officials called November "a busy month."
