Fund Created for Family of Deceased Trumbull Native
Anthony Teixeira, 21, died after being injured in a Thanksgiving accident. The fund aims to help pay funeral and medical expenses.
A GoFundMe created to help Anthony Teixera’s family pay for funeral and medical bills has surpassed $26,000 in one day.
“This is truly a blessing,” said fund creator Jeremy Falik on GoFundMe. “The family is touched and grateful for every donation including myself.”
The fund aims to raise $50,000.

Teixera passed away on Monday after succumbing to his accident injuries. He was ejected from the vehicle and suffered severe head trauma, according to the Trumbull Times. He was put into a medically induced coma.

Four others were injured in the early-morning single-vehicle accident. Injuries ranged from scrapes to broken bones, but none of the other victim injuries are considered life-threatening, according to Trumbull Police.
