Trumbull First Selectman Diagnosed With Thyroid Cancer: Report
The diagnosis came after a routine checkup for Tim Herbst.

TRUMBULL, CT — First Selectman Tim Herbst was diagnosed with early stage thyroid cancer after a routine checkup.
He plans to have his thyroid removed without the need for radiation or chemotherapy, according to the Hartford Courant.
Herbst said his father was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in his mid 20's.
