TRUMBULL, CT — The Kennedy Center sent out an open letter to its employees, families and stakeholders after a former employee was arrested in an alleged $25,000 check scheme.

President and CEO Richard Sebastian said that the matter was brought to the center's attention in November 2018 and police began an investigation.

"While, like you, I am deeply disturbed by the allegations in this case, I know these actions do not define The Kennedy Center and the work we do each day," he said. "We will continue, together, to create opportunities, unleash potential and enhance our communities."
