The town is considering going back to seven voting districts from the current four.

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull residents voiced their opinions about potentially returning to seven voting districts.

Trumbull Citizens for 7 Districts member Regina Haley said that voter turnout began to decline when the town switched to four districts in 2012, according to the Trumbull Times. Before the change Trumbull had been above the state turnout average.

She also shared some comments the group had gathered, which included complaints about increased driving distance to polling locations and longer voting lines.
