• $100K lottery payday lands at Vernon supermarket (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Vernon Stop & Shop just sold a $100,000 winning Connecticut Lottery scratch ticket, turning a quick supermarket stop into a six-figure payday for an Ellington resident. The CA$HWORD 2nd Edition ticket was claimed Monday, adding another big win to the state's recent lottery streak and spotlighting the Vernon store as a lucky retailer.
