Bond In Tolland Child Sex Assault Case Now $1 Million (And $100)
A defendant in a Tolland teen sexual assault case in being held by the court for a few dollars more.

TOLLAND, CT — A Monday hearing at Rockville Superior tacked on another $750,000 to the bond on a Tolland man arrested for missing a court date in a child sexual assault case.
Another $100 bond was added to his tab on two charges after he gave police a false name while they were trying to serve him a warrant, records show.
George Telford is now being held on a $1 million bond for the sexual assault-related charges and $100 for criminal impersonation and and interfering with police, records show. He is slated to be back in court on April 5.

State police Friday served Telford a warrant issued by Rockville Superior Court. A re-arrest order was issued in October, judicial system records show. Telford, now 35, was initially arrested by state police in connection with a sex assault investigation in late July.
When police were serving the warrant, Telford said his name was "Anubis Bey," and also gave authorities a false birthdate, according to an arrest report.

His original charges include one count of first-degree sexual assault and four counts each of:
- Second-degree sexual assault
- Third-degree sexual assault
- Illegal sexual contact with someone younger than 16
- Risk of injury to a child, according to an arrest report
A charge of first-degree failure to appear in now part of the sexual assault case.
The victim in the case was 14 at the time of the crimes, according to an arrest report.
