Cornerstone Backpack Event Helps Vernon Kids Get Back To School
Cornerstone is again furnishing back to school supplies in Vernon.
VERNON, CT — The annual backpack even at the Cornerstone Clothing Bank began Friday for the 2021-22 school year.
Parents and children began lining up at about 3 p.m. to gain entrance to the clothing bank.
Chidden from Grade 1 through high school were able to choose a backpack, two outfits with a pair of sneakers, school supplies like pens and notebooks and art supplies

The Cornerstone Clothing Bank is located on Prospect Street in the Rockville section of Vernon.
In addition to Friday, the backpack event runs Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Aug. 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
