Gas Station Fight In Vernon Leads To Pair Of Arrests

VERNON, CT — A brawl at a gas station and store in Vernon resulted in the arrests of two people, police said.

The incident took place at 8:05 p.m. on Sept. 27, according to arrest reports.

Police responded to the 7-Eleven at 180 Union St., where a "domestic" squabble escalated into a fight, according to arrest reports. A 29-year-old New Britain man made contact with a 31-year-old Newington man there in a car with am illegal plate and against a court-issued protective order, according to arrest reports.

In addition to the protective order charge and the registration violation, the 29-year-old was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree threatening, according to police records.

The 31-year-old was charged with third-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance and second-degree breach of peace, according to police records.
