Glastonbury Town Council To Stage Final Public Hearing On Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget

GLASTONBURY, CT — The Glastonbury Town Council has scheduled a final public hearing and action regarding the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.

The meeting is set to take place on Wednesday, March 18, beginning at 7 p.m. The proceedings will take place in the Council Chambers located on the second floor of Town Hall at 2155 Main St.

Officials have organized the session as a hybrid meeting to allow for both in-person attendance and remote participation through Zoom Video Conferencing. Residents who choose to attend the meeting remotely may access the session via the link provided on the town website.

Those who require closed captioning services can enable the feature by selecting the Show Captions icon at the bottom of their Zoom screen. The town has established specific protocols for members of the public who wish to provide testimony during the hearing. Comments are restricted to a maximum of five minutes per person and individuals may not speak more than once during the session.

For those attending in person, public comment will be accepted during the designated session. Individuals joining through the Zoom platform may submit comments in real-time by using the raise hand function. Attendees participating by phone are instructed to press *9 on their keypad to signal their intent to speak.

The Council Chair or meeting host will announce each speaker by name or phone number when it is their time to offer testimony. Participants must state their full name and address when prompted before beginning their comments. Written testimony may also be submitted in advance of the meeting through an electronic form available on the town website.

Electronic submissions must be completed by 2 p.m. on March 17, the day before the meeting, to be read into the record.

The town will broadcast the meeting in real-time through Public Access Television on Channel 16.

A live stream will also be available on the town website for those unable to attend in person.

Following the conclusion of the hearing, the meeting video will be archived and made available for viewing on the Town Video OnDemand web page.

The council meeting is expected to conclude by 9:30 p.m.
