Williams has a maintenance-related job in the school system and had been placed on administrative leave after a May 23 arrest for third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, according to school system officials. It was after an incident described as domestic in nature. He was placed on administrative leave from the Vernon Fire Department since then as well, fire department officials said.
According to a warrant, when confiscating firearms and other items after the domestic arrest, officers noticed Williams trying to hide a recording device they later discovered was placed in his truck by a "female."

State police were then notified because the recording depicted a phone call, an agreed-upon sexual encounter and Williams having sex with the 18-year-old outside the truck at a truck stop in Willington, the jurisdiction of the Troop C barracks, according to a warrant.
The recording refers to more than one encounter, including a May 4 trip substantiated up by his vehicle traveling through a Massachusetts Turnpike electronic toll scanner, according to a warrant.
The incidents took place before a June 6 complaint was made about Williams' relationship with the girl at the Vernon Police Department, according to a warrant.
The girl is referred to as a student in a warrant and at one time told police, "I am not a victim." No references are made to encounters on school grounds or a firehouse.
