Report: Vernon Cops Find Scooter Driver Stumbling Around Rockville
He would fall, then get back up, police said.

VERNON, CT — It was the case of the little engine that couldn't early Thursday morning in Vernon.
And a man is facing a drunken driving charge after repeatedly stumbling around the Rockville section of town on a running scooter, police said.
At 1:13 a.m. on Thursday, police were dispatched to Cottage Street and quickly noticed a man, identified as 59-year-old Donald Thibodeau, driving a "moped scooter," according to an arrest report. He was repeatedly falling, getting back onto the scooter and attempting to drive it, police said.

His escapades included trying to drive the scooter up a one-way road, police said.
Thibodeau failed a series of field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence, police said.

He was also charged with driving the wrong way on a one-way street, police said.
Thibodeau was released on a $500 bond and it due in court on Aug. 22, police said.
