Vernon Cops Charge Man With 101 Protective Order Violations

An Ellington man is in custody on more than $1 million in bonds for a plethora of protective order crimes, Vernon police said.

VERNON, CT — Vernon police have charged a 38-year-old man with 101 counts of violating protective orders and skipping several associated court dates. He is currently in custody on bonds totaling more than $1 million.

Craig Lee Bosley, whose listed address is in Ellington, was arrested in Massachusetts on July 22 on bonds totaling $6.005 million and sent to Rockville Superior Court the same day.

He is also facing a pair of second-degree harassment charges and a first-degree stalking charge, according to an arrest report.

In addition, Bosley is facing stalking and harassment charges from a Feb. 2 arrest, three risk of injury to a child charges with a protective order violation from a Jan. 21 arrest and more than 30 counts of violating a restraining order from a Sept. 24 arrest, judicial system records show.

The bonds were drastically reduced at Bosley's arraignment last week, but he failed to post $1.45 million worth of bonds and remained in custody to begin this week, judicial system records indicate.

He now has eight active cases out of Vernon and a court date for all of them on Aug, 30, records show.

The July 22 arrest also involving a warrant for another protective order violation in Enfield on July 22, records show. Bosley did not post a $50,000 bond in that case and is expected in Enfield Superior Court on Aug. 12.
