Vernon Cops: Man in Cow Suit Taken to Hospital for 'Observation'
A man in a cow suit who has been causing a stir in Vernon was taken to the hospital on Tuesday.

VERNON, CT — A man who has been causing a stir in several locations around the Rockville section of Vernon while wearing a cow suit was taken by officers and an ambulance crew to Rockville General Hospital on Tuesday for "observation," police said.
Police have not released the man's name, but did say he lived on Prospect Street. They said the purpose of picking him up Tuesday night was to "get him some help." He was taken to the hospital for a mental and physical health evaluations, police said.
Police received two calls about the man being "passed out" on sidewalks Tuesday afternoon. On Tuesday night, police received a third call from Lucky's, a strip joint on Route 83, about him causing a disturbance inside. Police caught up to him in the establishment's parking lot at about 10 p.m. Tuesday and called an ambulance.

Police said the man was spotted on all fours eating grass on a Union Street sidewalk.
Another call came into police about the man walking into a Dunkin' Donuts in the cow suit and yelling, "eat chicken," reports show.

The man told police he is supporting "animal rights," according to reports.
